[Wyewood] For your Consideration: A letter of Intent for the Chatelaine Office from James Palmer (Torgrim)

Unto Their Excellences of the great Barony of Wyewood, Barun Alarich von Thorn, Baroness Aline Swynbroke, the Seneschal of Wyewood, Johanna de Wassington.

Do I, the bringer of smiles, muscles of Baronies and cooker of delicious meals, Torgrim send my humble intent to be considered a suitable candidate for the position of Chatelaine for the Barony of Wyewood. As a Chatelaine, I bring my outside knowledge of recruitment and event steward from other event spaces, to the Barony. This can include media and online services, as well as connecting and creating workshops and demos. Also, utilizing spaces such as Saturday Markets, College faires, Nerd Cons and other mundane locations.. This tall task cannot be done alone so I would actively work with other Baronies’ Chatelaine and Kingdom Chatelaine. I would plan to host or encourage socials or open house events to gather ideas with the current populus. Ideas include coordinating with already existing practices or classes at events, Rapier, Archery, more Bardic, Newcomer Academy, etc. by encouraging households to host classes, competitions, or stations at demos. This will give options to incoming members and give existing or maybe less active members a space to pursue passions and desires. I feel it is important to also give that same space to active and outreach to less active members because the Populace as a whole is important to the health of the Barony and Kingdom. If approved, I would lend my support to help new members and members of all of our Populace, both reticent and bold, blossom. Very few people know about our amazing world known as the SCA. I want to change that.
