Officers Meeting October 11, 2010

Those in attendance: Avine de Hert, Dearbhail, Miranda, Beleg, Constantine, Tomas, Wenyeva, Esclarmonde, Matillis, Katarina, Ulrich, Wilhelmin, Alianora Greymore

 

OLD BUSINESS: 

  a.. Winter fighter workshops, first practice October 30. Tomas must get the contract signed and to the Renton School District (Planning on 10/12/2010.)
 

NEW BUSINESS:

  a.. Officer Quarterly reports due. Send a copy to the Seneschal. 
  b.. A&S Survey: 40 complete responses (most anonymous) most common responses were about clothing and encampment realism. Some people volunteered to teach and help. Some interested in academic / history. Discussion followed about holding regular "Intro to xxxx " classes. 
  c.. Survey about FCS location is forthcoming (10/12/2010). 
  d.. Budgets for each department due to the Exchequer. If you have already submitted one, thank you. 
  e.. Possibility of May Crown Bid (Alianora) 
    a.. Site found in Cle Elum (It's OK with Vulcanfeldt) 
    b.. No deposit required, due in part to reviews and reference from Reber Ranch 
    c.. Rental cost is $3000 
    d.. No Potable water 
    e.. Baroness Brighid mentoring Alianora on the event 
    f.. Other expenses, including portable toilets, were discussed. Miranda will look into a discount for the toilets. 
    g.. Officers voted and approved the submission of bid, with withdrawal if another better site/bid is received
  f.. Yule Feast December 18 
    a.. Lady Fionnghuala to be the Feastcrat, Alianora will be Autocrat 
    b.. Feast for 65 
    c.. Cost of site $300 with a $500, refundable on approval, deposit 
    d.. Black Diamond  Community Center 
    e.. Lady Alianora requested a budget to replace some of the aging culinary gear. 
    f.. Officers voted and approved the event for submission to the populace 
    g.. Lady Avine asked if there is interest in have an auction of crafts at the feast. 
      a.. Resounding affirmatives, remembering the success of the last one 
      b.. Officers voted and approved the auction
  g.. Lady Avine reported she still is not in possession of the Heralds records and books 
    a.. Tomas will try again to contact Dietrich to get the items to her.
  h.. The Chronicler position is open and accepting application. Send applications to the Seneschal and the Exchequer. 
  i.. Seneschal will leave the office in April, with only the Contingency Deputy, Constantine, applying to step into the position. 
  j.. There will be a gathering Tuesday, 10/12/2010 at Roundtable Pizza 302 SW 43rd St., Renton, WA, to discuss future, direction, and events of our branch.
