Dear SCA community:
A huge HUGE thank you to everyone that participated in the SCA 2020 Census.
We had nearly 10,000 members complete part 1 of the census over the two-week
response window.  Here's how the final numbers worked out:
part 1 - 16,357 viewed it; 11,732 started it and 9,384 completed this part
(75.95% completion rate) (average 23 min)
part 2 - 9,045 viewed and started it; 7,883 completed this part (96.97%
completion rate) (average 4 min)
part 3 - 8,182 viewed and started it; 7,430 completed this part (97.47%
completion rate) (average 3 min)
Participation by:
Active members: 10,557
No longer active: 1,120
Never participated: 55
Total average time to complete all three parts: 30 min
This level of participation should provide us with a wealth of useful data.
The Census Committee is working now to create a report for the membership on
the responses for each question.  Other, subject-specific reports are
planned after that.
Many thanks also to the SCA Officers, members of the Board, volunteer
participants, testers, publicity team, and the members of the Census
Committee themselves, who formed and launched the 2020 Census on time and
without major hiccups. Well done!
