Good afternoon, Wyewood!
Due to circumstances, neither his Excellency nor I will be at the Friday
business meeting in person. As many of you know, I have been serving on the
event team for Emprise since before we stepped up. Our original plan was
for me to ride up with others to Emprise early Friday so I could help with
set up. His Excellency planned to attend the business meeting and then
follow me. On Thursday of last week, his Excellency’s employer informed him
his presence was mandated in Oregon from Friday until Monday for an
installation at a client. My current plan is to try to drive down from site
to somewhere in Cle Elum with cell reception and call in to the meeting.
Again, our sincere apologies not to be there in person.
Onto our report for the Month:
We thank everyone who joined us at September Crown and Banner War, and
those coming out to Emprise. It’s always nice to see Wyewood so
well-represented! In October, we currently plan to attend the Druim
Doinnean Masquerade on October 12th and Collegium the weekend of October
25-27th. We welcome any of you who would like to join us. We are still
considering our travel schedule for November and December.
We also wish to thank everyone who has answered our call for feedback on
our current award structure. Candid feedback from our Populace helps us
best serve you. The survey largely serves as a starting point for
consideration for us. The only item of consideration we plan to move on at
this time is the establishment of Wyewood’s first Youth Award for service
and participation to the Barony, as that has been one of the most
recommended things in the survey and consistent with other feedback we’ve
received. We welcome your nominations for children and youth you feel
deserving of recognition.
We are excited to announce two appointments to our staff. First, Her
Ladyship Vashti has agreed to fulfill a new role as my Excellency’s
Personal Scribe. In this role, she’ll be working on scribal projects such
as thank you cards, personal invitations for upcoming Wyewood events, and
other special commissions as needed. We are excited to have Vashti join our
team.
Second, Lord Mikial Aldrich has agreed to continue serving as Head of the
Baronial Scriptorium. In this role, he will coordinate the creation and
production of award charters given out during our tenure. We are thrilled
to have him continuing in this role and look forward to working with him.
As always, we welcome any additional input from the populace. Please reach
out to us with questions, concerns, award recommendations, and more.
In Service to Wyewood and An Tir,
Aline, Baroness
