Just a quick reminder for this great Aquaterra event, happening in Monroe, WA, this coming weekend; Jan 30 - Jan 31 .

I
am the herald responsible for the field heraldry for this, the first Tournament Fighting Event of the year. It's All You Can Eat rattan, steel, arrows, thrown weapons, and Youth Armored Combat challenges for a whole weekend.

I've heard from a few folks who will be there, and
now I'd like to extend the invitation once more for both new and
experienced heralds to join in the fun that is Ursulmas. They truly do
need us, and it's a great place to learn about field heraldry.

We need multiple field heralds for
multiple tournaments, some of which may be happening at the same time in
different erics. Heralds are needed for both Saturday and Sunday,
please let me know if you can volunteer and hour or two on either day
(or both!).

We
can teach newcomers the ropes and provide mentors to as many as
possible, another good reason for experienced heralds to volunteer for
an hour or two. With the exception of the marshals who keep us all
safe, there is no better vantage point to see the best of An Tir's
fighters on the field.

I'll be at Heralds Point, come by to sign up on Saturday morning (or respond to this email). I'll
do my best to work with your schedule to give everyone a chance to have
fun and see the rest of the event, too. I promise to provide water and throat lozenges, and the heralds always have cookies.

Ursulmas
is where I did my own first field heralding (mumble mumble +20) years
ago, and I'm still going strong. Come and join the fun!

Thanks for reading this far, and I hope to see you this weekend!!

Forward with wild abandon. Well, only forward to people/lists who might have an interest. Thanks.
