Kudos to our seige cooking crew- Lady Symonne, Lady Sophia... to who
else do we owe our gratitude?

Baroness Gabrielle

Subject: [Reeds] A Glorious Autumn War!
To: Barony of Aquaterra <reeds at antir.sca.org>

A grand time was had by all who braved Thor's wrath to find
themselves rewarded with sunny skies this weekend. The earth shook with
its own thunder as Aquaterra went to war with our good friends of Blatha an
Oir!

Many heeded the call and fought for our Barony. Your Baroness was proud to
stand beside His Highness Erick - what an honor- our Warlord Gideon
Hravensfuri, our Champion Mikołaj Radomyski, and fighters of House Gremlin,
the Company of Saint Ulrich, House Ravitz, and many more upon the field of
battle - almost 40 in number. Despite still being outnumbered (at times 2
against one) we remarkably *matched our jolly foemen point for point*! We
were so enormously proud of every member of our forces, displaying courage
and fortitude against the odds. You did us and Aquaterra much honor and
we are grateful.

In other martial contests a generous contingent of rapier fighters ensured
our victory. The mighty Kat won for us the war point in the youth
tournament - just wait until she joins the adult division! Likewise did
Aquaterra prevail in Seige Cooking - our thanks to Wyewood for that. The
Hattie Longtooth woodworking competition war point came to us thanks to a
former resident of our northern lands. We are delighted with the skill
displayed, and humbled by all the efforts for the greater glory of
Aquaterra.

In all, due to much mischief by the weather gods, the winner was declared
to be Thor, the God of Thunder, whose light show dazzled the brave souls
who endured it. Huge thanks and a hearty well done are due to the
Autocrat Team for perseverance, clear heads, hard work, and swift action
throughout what was an epic battle with the forces of nature. They saw
everyone through to safety and what ended up to be an enjoyable event. It
must be noted too that House Gremlin dove in on whatever needed to be done
during the storm and did great service, among others who opened
their tents, and locals who opened their houses.

We were witness too to the end of an era. Baron Alexii and Baroness Elsbeth
stepped aside, and we witnessed the pageantry of the investiture of Baron
Hengist and Baroness Marike. Huzzah for our new Cousins!

Thank you to everyone who made this event special for them, and for us.
