I have heard of the greatness of heart, generosity 
and help given from one to the other.

While I can not name names.
I know so many of you went above and beyond.
(I went to work & was a weather whimp JF )

Fun was had,word fame secured,friends and memories made.

(& you can do laundry this week & 
keep the memories and hopefully not the mud)

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye....Emprise of the Black Lion XII, 

... let all people of An Tir, and of all the known kingdoms, who are not banished or enemies of the King our lord, know that there will be a great festival of arms and a very noble tourney, both mounted, on foot and of archery, with crests, banners and horses covered with the arms of the noble tourneyers, as is the ancient custom, hosted by the very noble and very powerful Barony of Madrone and Barony of Wyewood...

... and this tourney, known as the Emprise of the Black Lion XII, will be held on Saturday, September 14, at the place called Reber Ranch in the city of Kent, Washington.

Complete your tournament season in style at An Tir's grandest event for equestrian pageantry and historically inspired tournaments.  On Saturday the 14th there will be three parallel tournaments (equestrian, archery, and armored combat on foot) all inspired by the 1460 treatise of René of Anjou, overseen by four noble judges.

Please note that this is not a camping event, although staying on site in RV's / horse trailers is permissible.

Baronial Championships & Harvest Feast
and
Kingdom Heraldic & Scribal Symposium

Reserve the date on your calendar now -- October 19 in Adiantum. 
We are combining two events:
Baronial Championships & Harvest Feast
and
Kingdom Heraldic & Scribal Symposium

You can compete to be the Bardic Champion, the Thrown Weapons Champion, or the Heavy Fighting Champion of Adiantum. We are working on adding other fighting scenarios to the Championship Tourney. 

There will be a tasty but inexpensive buffet lunch (12-1 pm) and a delicious feast at 5:30 pm. 

There will be multiple tracks of classes for scribes and heralds, from beginning to advanced levels. The Adiantum website should have a list of classes by mid-September.

It is by decree of the Baron and Baroness of Vulkanfeldt that the people of the land are invited to attend Vulkanfeldt’s annual Bows and Blades! It will be held on Friday October 11 – Sunday October 13, 2013. When the clock strikes 3 PM on Friday October 11, gate will be open.
Our honorary MIC will be making an appearance this year, Daniel Moncrief, come out to see what Daniel has planned for this year’s event! Many arrows will be shot, from fun shoots, royal range, York, flight and even light your dead and then some new stuff from our MIC!
As always your assistance understanding will greatly rewarded. There are some shoots that are just to difficult to score to award trophies; so we invite you to just have fun with them and enjoy yourself.
It is that time again to chose a new Baronial Protector! Who is it going to be?
We will have an Arts and Science contest for Prettiest Arrow, Prettiest Quiver and Period Archer. This will be judged by our Baroness Regina. At the event this year there will be bake sale too!
On Saturday evening we will be having a potluck, please note it is not a period potluck, please feel free to bring what you would like and following the potluck we will have a baronial smores fest!
So grab some friends and let's have some fun!
