[Officers] About the Officers' list

It came to my attention just now that the Officers' list archives
(accessible via the link on
http://lists.wyewood.org/listinfo.cgi/officers-wyewood.org )
are not open to the public.
I don't see any reason why those archives should be private. We have not
been using them to vote on new officers or discuss potential candidates,
and everything else the officers do is public -- the public is welcome
at the officers' meetings and can see/hear what is discussed.
So I'd like to propose that we change the setting on that mailing list
to allow the populace to read the list archives. Not that they are very
exciting. :) To be a member of the officers' list, you would still need
to be an officer, but anyone could read the archive of the list messages.
For what it's worth, I set up the mailing lists and then gave them over
to Beleg to run a couple of years ago, so it's possible that I'm the one
who made the officers' list private in the first place. But if so, I
believe I should not have.
Perhaps we can discuss this at the next officers' meeting, next week?
(It is next week and not this one, yes? Or am I confused?)
