Exchequer - Sara
Barony of Wyewood, SCA Inc.
Exchequer Report for Baronial Business Meeting
February 27, 2026
Per January 31, 2026, bank statement,
$4765.92 in chequing, $8857.68 in savings
For a total of just over $13,600
Feast of St Bubba: Net proceeds from Feast of St Bubba estimated to be around $1000, pending final receipts for event expenditures and monies from kingdom for credit card revenues. Note that the cost to the barony for credit card fees will be over $70.
Thank you to Baroness Gabri for a well-run, organized event. All “I’s” dotted, all “T’s” crossed. Also big thanks to our Chamberlain/Teamster Rasmus for taking care of locker access for Feast equipment, transport and set-up of the wonderful new hanging heraldic displays and general schlepping and care for Baronial property. Very happy with how Rasmus supports the barony
Year-end Branch Financial Report submitted to Kingdom in January. No questions (yet).
Discussed among financial committee changing bank as soon as Kingdom changes to Chase Bank. Waiting for Kingdom account to change over. This will make securing required Kingdom-level signers much easier. Bank card signers should be:
- Exchequer/Treasurer: Sara de Bonneville (Sara L Bonneville)
- Additional signers: Gwendolyn MacAuslane (Elizabeth L McCasland), Aline Swynbroke (Rebecca von Groote), Alessandra da Montefeltro (Denise Garlington), Elewyn verch Emrys (Susan Meyers), Etiennette de Montangue (Stephanie Ray-Solum).
- Additional signer to be added in the future: Simon Fisc (deputy)
Pending “chores” for Exchequer
- Inventory of storage locker
- Find Inventory/hand-receipts for baronial property that were done last year (maybe in cloud somewhere?) Gwen has some of the documents; Sara to contact.
- Update and correct Wyewood Financial Policy, in accordance with updated Society (updated 2025) and Kingdom (in process) policies.
- Schedule Kingdom “review of books”.

  * Cire has questions about budget. Confirmed it is done annually. Asks what the plans for funds are. Sara discussed in detail that we have budgets for offices, but they rarely use their finances. Cire emphasized importance of using funds for activities. Margaret reminded group it is required we have to have a prudent reserve.

Chronicler – Gabri
Event ate life. Tash provided beautiful art for The Wye’s Mouth. Please submit photos, articles, or additional art for the April edition to include meeting and event news from Jan- March.
Wyewood lists eats my postings often to the list.

Archery - Tymme
I will not be able to attend tonight.

Archery is still happening, weather permitting. It's time to glue up more targets. It also seems like there may be benefit in having another TAM class, so I'm looking at that possibility.

YIS,
Tymme "Prodkiller" Lytefelow

Rapier - Dearbhail
Rapier continues to happen at Talbot elementary.

We have been mostly well behaved.

There were two hard shots last Sunday at practice. I received both of them. I will send off my report tonight to Central. No harm, no foul, just hard shots.

I will be out of country for a couple of weeks. Boreaus will be the adult in charge in my absence. Expecting new fighter this week.

Heavy – Raoukinn
Not present

Sargentry – Margaret

Sergeantry: we welcomed 4 new candidates and 1 returning candidate
I am working with Madrone and Aquaterra on ideas to test the candidates together. Extended socials a possibility.

Social Media – Michelino

I may have a cold, I'll be more sure tomorrow AM, so I'm going to decline to appear and share at the FCS. Here is my report:
No significant issues. I updated the naming of some events after the Social Media officers mentioned in their FB group that they prefer the format: "Branch - Event - Date" (The date can be just the year for yearly events, etc.).
Since the last business meeting, four folks joined Discord, and one left. Seven joined the FB group. I don't have statistics for the mailing list.
  — Michelino di Gino Martini.

Webster - Simon
Sorry for the last minute, I will not be at the meeting tonight.

Added Their Excellencies’ message regarding Feast of St. Bubba; updated some information on the Champions and Officers pages.

In service,
Simon Fisc

Chamberlain – Rasmuss

Coronets – John & Margaret
We had wonderful event at FOSB. Great to share with Madrone. Two new champions A&S is Sara and Bardic is Rauthlfr. Great to have indoor event again. Baron will be out of country and not present at next business meeting.

Old Business

  *   Feast of St. Bubba

Event report submitted and sent out again today with corrections. Overall a successful event thanks to many volunteers. 91 attendees, 2 who were children. Total gate income was $1335. 65 feast slots were sold and feast came in under budget. Feast ticket sales brought in $1625. Lunch donations were $155, and there was $5 in general donation. We will be getting our site deposit refunded. Event netted $1004.99

Exchequer would like those who donate supplies to still provide expenses for future event stewards to plan budgets.

New Business

  * Avine recommended easels for Baronial Scrolls for display at events. Still looking for Shire Scroll. And Constantine voluntold to give key for Baronial Scroll. Mir noted that as original scribe, would be beneficial to this project.

Gwen asks suggestions for easels be sent to her seneschal email to create range for easel prices.

  * Cire recommends building a castle.

  * Day of Archery- Aware date missing. (copy to be sent after meeting) Need to verify site contact. Gwen recommends coordinating with Tymme. Date proposed 5/9/26 at archery range. Gate $25 members, NMR $10. Lunch $5. Under 18 no charge.

Site open 9, Gate at 10. Close around 6:30. Classes TBD. Lunch likely brats. Simon will mentor Gondul as event steward, Rauthlfr presenting on her behalf.
Questions for Gondul to be relayed: What is vision for event? Do we want repeat of last year? Has she spoken with Tymme as Branch Marshal? Clarification cannot be head cook and event steward. Head cook will coordinate with baronesses for Traditional Brauts with Baronesses as they will be cooking. Need cost for ADA porta-potty and cost of anticipated supplies. Can we still do lunch for $5? If we are doing war archery and thrown weapons, will need marshals.
IKCAC target possibly in locker. One is locker is old style; John has new style.
Rauthlfr expounded classes not related to archery would bring in additional attendance.

  * Rauthlfr recommends planning to build kneeling bench.

  * Mir- $300 check coming May d/t divorce agreement.

Upcoming meetings

  *   A&S – March 7th at the Auburn Library
  *   Business meeting – March 10th, virtual
  *   FCS – March 27th
