IMPORTANT PROCESS CHANGE from the Office of the Kingdom Largesse Coordinator:
"It is with sadness that we announce we are pausing the international movement of largesse within the Kingdom.
Due to the unfortunate times we are in regarding tariffs and border inspection issues, the question of whether it is responsible to attempt to transport quantities of largesse into the United States from our Canadian populace was raised. In consultation with the Crown and Heirs, consensus has been reached that at this time we will be pausing the official transfer of donated largesse south into the U.S. Individuals can of course still make the choice for themselves to transport items across to donate to the Crown and therefore address any duties personally if inspected but neither the Crown nor official Kingdom couriers will be doing so until mundane trade policy changes.
We deeply regret that this is the situation we find ourselves in and are incredibly sorrowed that we will be unable to continue to facilitate the physical sharing of the amazing and generous contributions of our Tir Righ makers with the rest of the Kingdom. We hope this will change in the near future but must proceed under the current mundane reality for now.
Some ways to expand the visibility of our amazing donors throughout the Kingdom was already in the works before this decision, and we hope this upcoming boost will help compensate for the decrease our generous Tir Righ artisans face but we know it's not the same. Spreading your word fame is still of upmost importance to us, please stay tuned for this update!
How will this change in procedure affect donation to Kingdom and Kingdom use of largesse within Tir Righ?
While our Crown is US based, any official visits made to Tir Righ will only involve gifting to the Event Steward and all other gifting between the Crown and dignitaries will pause. However, if our Crown is Canadian based gifting between the Crown and dignitaries at events in Tir Righ will likely resume (at the Crown's discretion). This means that having a Canadian stockpile of Kingdom Largesse is still desired, however items may see long lags between donation and use unless the situation changes. We very much understand this may change donation habits!
If you are a Canadian An Tirian who has largesse in holding with the Kingdom Regional Deputy there Sine Gunnsdottir and would like your items reallocated to the Principality please reach out and let us know, we will be happy to arrange that. We can also get them back to you or hold on to them in the hopes that things change in the near future or we have a Canadian based Crown! With this shift the previous position of Kingdom Largesse Regional Deputy for Tir Righ will become a hybrid position, becoming Regional/Storage Deputy Tir Righ.
