[Wyewood] Wyewood dance practice July 23

4th Thursday SCA dance practice

Greetings to Wyewood and dance friends.  The Barony of Wyewood's dance 
practice is this week, from 7-9 PM, and takes place at my home in the 
Northwest part of Kent.  If interested in attending, please contact me 
by email or phone (253-905-1483 [1]), and I will send you address, 
directions, etc.

At dance practice, we do a variety of dances from English, French and 
Italian sources, ranging from the mid 1400's to mid 1600's.  Dances will 
be selected based on the interest and ability of those attending ... and 
the whim of the instructor(s).  Non-dancers are welcome to come and 
watch, chat and work on projects.

In general, people tend to wear modern clothing for practice, but feel 
free to wear garb if you would like. Comfortable, non-grip shoes are 
recommended.

I just got home from the Historic Dance Society's summer dance program … 
6 days of intense dance classes!  I will have the HDS newest publication 
to look at, "Dances of the French Courts".
