This week brings two chances for dance practice.
- First is the "Third Monday" dance practice for the Barony of Madrone
(at KapKa school, near Woodland Park - see below)
- Then the "Fourth Thursday" dance practice for the Barony of Wyewood,
at my home (email sbonnevi at wamail.net for directions).
At dance practices, we do a variety of dances from English, French and
Italian sources, spanning mid-15th century to mid-17th century (around
1450-1650). Dances are selected based on abilities and interests of
those attending practice, and on the whim of the dance master(s).
Comfortable clothing and non-grippy shoes are recommended, although
historic garb is always welcome.

Greetings, dancers!
You are invited to a Madrone dance practice on Monday, January 20, from
7 PM to 8:45 PM. We'll be at the Madrone Baronial Social site at KapKa
Cooperative School, 510 N 49th St, Seattle, WA 98103.
We dance in the meeting space upstairs from the heavy/rapier practice in
the gym starting at 7 PM every third Monday of the month. If you arrive
early, note that the door (from N 49th St) is usually locked until 7 PM.
At dance practices you get to do a variety of English, French, and
Italian dances that date from about 1450 to 1651. Dances are selected
each evening based on the interests and abilities of those who attend.
Newcomers (to the SCA and/or to dancing) are always welcome. Most
participants will be in modern clothes and comfortable shoes, but garb
is also welcome.
Other upcoming dance practices in the area:
* Thursday, January 23, in Wyewood / Kent
* Thursday, February 6, in Porte de l'Eau / Kirkland
