People on the Move – Director Elect Seat E

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Kate Poore (Boiarynia Ekaterina Kirkovna Holopova, OP) as the Director-Elect for Seat E. She will assume the position from Director Pug Bainter at the close of the April 2025 quarterly meeting.

Kate Poore is a Recordkeeping Specialist for July Business Services based out of Longmont, CO.  She resides north of Denver and within sight of the mountains, with her fat cat, George! Her work background is retirement finance, primarily on the operations side.  Kate been part of the SCA since birth with her fondest memories running around Lilies War with her friends causing mischief or swimming in the lake in the late ’90s and early ’00s. Yoga, board games, travel, and trivia nights provide plenty of enjoyment in her life.  She also has a goal to hit an event in every SCA kingdom by the time she is 40; only 10 more to go!

Boiarynia Ekaterina Kirkovna Holopova, OP, is a 15th Century Russian noble with a love of adventure, duty, and knowledge. She supports her friends by giving safe spaces to land in times of need as well as celebration.  She loves meeting new people and hearing their stories of war, mischief, and joy.  Ekarterina has a hard time staying in one place as there are so many sites to see and histories to learn.

As new Directors are seated each April and October, candidates for the Board are continually being solicited. SCA Inc or affiliate individuals may be nominated by SCA members and participants or can be self-nominated. No special experience is required, and candidates do not need to have specialized modern degrees. They also need not be peers – experience from every aspect of the Society is desired.
