I am a Mentor Chirurgeon, your Gallant, and mundanely an RN working at a
(COVID free, for now) Long Term Acute Care Hospital, caring for the
sickest of the sick with a focus on trached and respiratory patients. As
an RN Case Manager, I am seeing door after door shut on post hospital
discharge to lower acuity care. I am quite literally crying at bedside
with patients who have not seen their families for months outside of a
computer screen when they are the most needing of comfort, and in many
cases to comfort the family.
Anything we can do to shorten this unimaginable suffering, and allow
family back to the bedside, and end the demand on beds and supplies we
just don't have is and act of noble largess, and I thank you.
I miss you all terribly, but please, for the noblest of causes- to
champion our weakest- stay home.
In love and service,
Gabrielle Lepinay
Baroness Wyewood
Gallant of Wyewood

dare cross
