Greetings!
I am remiss in my thank-yous for the event. I just (basically) finished the
final report and I'm really proud of all WE accomplished. It met all the
goals in my mind to improve over last year (and was an amazing event on
it's own.) So, now that the report is done and my thoughts are together,
here are the thank-yous so well deserved. (Please tag anyone I wasn't able
to.)
My Co-Event Steward Linara, and my core team Aurora and Dejah, were
enthusiastic and committed to the success of the event. They had amazing
ideas and executed them with grace and style.
Aline and Sofia admirably ran a smooth kitchen and were flexible and
amazing! They were helped amply by Symmone, Robert, Peregrina, Tabby,
Margaret, Arianwenn, Sara, Sybil, and Irene.
Liadain ran gate smoothly and with her usual attention to quality and
detail. Tymme was amazing at managing the event website and helping with
gate at the event.
Emma took the dessert auction by the horns and made it a great success,
raising $271 for the regalia fund. And a special thanks for all those who
contributed yummies to the cause.
Mir ran the bardic and storytelling during the feast with his usual
enthusiasm. Gwen and Tomas ran a couple of great classes. Don Ramon ran a
smooth rapier competition and Irene expertly managed lists. Jorunn
entertained us as a roving storyteller. The talented Sara led dance after
the Sergeantry trials.
Special thanks to James Redbeard for taking all the amazing pictures.
Thank you to everyone who was there at the beginning and the end for the
glorious task of set-up and take down. I know I'm going to miss people so
I'm not going to try, but tag anyone you know helped please.
Thank you to all who participated in the activities and made the event a
success with your willingness to engage with everything we had going on.
And last, but certainly not least, thank you to our amazing Coronets Evrard
and Alessandra, Seneschal Martyn, and Exchequer Sara for their awesome
support with the emergency change of date and venue. Also Aline and Linara
and Liadain who stepped in when things got crazy and helped problem solve.
And to their Excellencies, thank you for your ongoing encouragement and
support throughout. Your enthusiasm for this event makes it all worthwhile.
This has been an amazing experience and I look forward to seeing what next
year's steward plans. We can only improve from here!
In service,
Your Event Steward
