Warder Martyn is our new Seneschal.  Thank you Lady Liadain for your
service to the Barony and Kingdom.  She will remain as deputy for 6 months.

at once.  We have an amazing barony with wonderful and talented people – *if

*Deputies!* An office can not have too many deputies; when His Excellency
was Chief Archer – I believe he had 8 deputies, maybe even more.  This is a
great opportunity to learn at your own pace – PLUS it’s a lot of fun! If
there is an office that interests you – please contact that Officer, thank
you.

*Exchequer Report – Sara*

Not much to report right now, we have money in the bank. If you are
interested in the Exchequer Office, Sara is looking for a deputy and it is
a great time to learn.

*Arts & Sciences Report – Sofia*

Fiber/A&S Support night was held the 5th, with recent high of 6 showing up…

There was one Sewing Night with 6 participants

FCS class on the 14th was a trio of classes for potential largess items: HL
Aurora offered kumihimo braiding, Sybil offered belt pouches, and Gwir
offered puppet/marionettes. There were about 12 participants (they kept
moving!)

Many of us will be headed to Portland for 12th Night….

*Herald/Pursuivant Report – Alarich *
It has been a quiet month.  Did do some consulting but no formal
submissions.
Working on a seal for the Barony, would like input regarding design.

*Archery Report – Tymme*
*** Office seeking applicants for Chief Archer*
The Chief Archer position is still open.

Archery is still happening.  I made up about 5 more targets, we’ll need to
get more made.  We could use solid pieces of corrugated cardboard about 26”
x 26-28”.  I have about 20-25 more, with about 95 more target faces…

Final medallion counts are in for last season, and Wyewood took 28 out of
87 medallions (32%).  We plan to hand them out in court at Feast of St.
Bubba.

We’re having an extra practice on New Year’s Day, weather permitting.

Rapier practice is happening at Kennydale on Sundays.
3-4 ppl regularly attend

Ramon has stepped down as Rapier Marshall.  This is not a required office
but if you are interested, please let the Seneschal and Their Excellencies
know.

Gwir has offered to assist as my deputy.
Newsletter is done will get posted to website when server gets transferred.
Checked in with Meryld regarding status of Library.

*Baronage – Baron Evrard and Baroness Alessandra*Please send in award
recommendations.  We have our 1st court of the year, at Feast of St.
Bubba’s – February 9th and would like to have a busy docket.
Our progression is … 12th Night, Ursulmas, Feast of St. Bubbas.  If you
like to help with retinue, please let us know.

Remember as a Barony, we are required to have 3 events on the Kingdom
Calendar.  We have 1 so far, Feast of St. Bubba’s.

We do have a date for Champions which is now being moved to September
7th instead
of August 10th, but we do need an Event Steward.

*Note: it was proposed that we move to avoid conflicts with Autumn War,
Sport of Kings and Aquaterra’s Champions.*

needed! 😊 We are looking for Gate Crew, Kitchen needs cleanup and servers.
Also adopt a table for decorating and much more.

Heads up!  The Feast is 56% been reserved.  Pre-reg closes January 27th.
Get your reservations in – we would love to have you there in the
festivities and cheer!

Warder Martyn is getting elevated to Master of Defense.  He asked that if
any Wyewoodians would like to be part of his processional – he would like
to have as many Wyewoodians as possible.  His elevation will be on Saturday.

Warder Martyn’s vigil to please contact/check with her.

January 22nd – 24th  - Big Demo Event

*Do you want to run an event?*
The Barony needs 3 events per year.  At this time we have only one.
If you have questions or interested – please don’t hesitate.  Being an
event steward can be a lot of fun.

1)      Feast on the 9th of February.

2)      *tentatively* August 10th, we have a date saved for Champions but
no bid and no event steward but now moving to September 7th.

3)      There are a couple of ideas floating around for day events.  Which
more the merrier!  We don’t have to limit to 3 events 😊

4)      Also, 12th night 2021, Lady Liadain spoke as a past Event
Steward.  This
is a great money maker event – keeps money in our coffers for about 3 years.
  During the event planning there will be busy times then down times, then
busy times but it is a great event to run.
