Greetings to Madrone, Porte de l'Eau, and the dancers of An Tir from Trahaearn! Come join us for the next canton dance practice on Thursday, September 6, from 7 to 9 PM in Porte de l'Eau / Kirkland! Janelyn and I invite you join us in dancing at our home just south of the library and transit center in downtown Kirkland. No experience necessary; we'll have fun and friendly dances for newcomers and experienced dancers alike. Garb is not required, but comfy shoes are a good idea. I hope you'll be able to join us! The address is 206 State St S in Kirkland. We're two blocks south of the Kirkland Transit Center (not to be confused with the South Kirkland Park and Ride), with direct evening service from/to downtown Seattle and many eastside locations. By car, take I-405 to exit 18 (NE 85th St) and then take the off-ramp for Kirkland. You'll go down a long hill, and the road becomes Central Way. Just past the park and baseball field on the left, turn left on 3rd St. After you go through the transit center and traffic light, the road name changes to State St. You'll pass some condos; after you cross 2nd Ave S, we'll be the second house on the left. Parking is on street, and usually easier to find on State St proper than on side streets, but watch for bus stops.
