[Wyewood] Minutes from the August business meeting

Herald


·         Two Wyewood names passed on the June 2017 LoAR.

·         Consulting continues and monitoring of Wyewood submissions at Kingdom and Society levels.

Marshal – Archery


·         Archery continues to happen.  The range is looking nicer and finding arrows has been easier lately.  We are ready for Champions.

·         I am needing to schedule some maintenance time to recover some of the Bulldog targets.

·         My deputy, Geoffrey of the Reeds, is running regular Thrown Weapons practices and I have been seeing his summary reports.

Marshal – Rapier


·         Tourney season is slowing down. : I had 2 brand new people at my practice recently.  Everyone got a refresher on An tir rapier rules, it was great.

·         The QRC is being moved from Twelfth Night to Kingdom Arts & Sciences.

Arts and Sciences


·         Last month’s social activities included: fiber night, scribal, and Wyewood in the park.

·         “Service: what does that mean to you” was the topic at August’s Social.

·         Activities for September include: fiber night (7th), culinary and project day (16th), social (8th) with “Largess: what is it and how to make it” as the evening’s discussion topic.

Chatelaine


·         I have had no emails or calls from newcomers since the last business meeting.  With the change of date for Wyewood Champions there may be some coming for Saturday, August 26th.


Exchequer
(Chamberlain)


·         We need a deputy with the intention that the take-over in February 2018

·         Checking 7,567.46 Savings 11,727.15

·         No major expenses expected for this year.

·         The office of the Seneschal is seeking a deputy.

·         The Office of Chronicler is open for applications now.

·         The Office of the Exchequer is seeking a Deputy now with the intention of this person becoming the Exchequer early in 2018.

·         The position of Chamberlain (deputy to the Exchequer) is open
