Hello Wyewood,
First, a reminder that Fiber Night will be Wednesday November 1st, 7-9:30
at the Starbucks across the street from Ikea.
I am interested in possibly adding a second monthly Fiber Night, on a
different day and maybe in a different location. I don't have any specific
thoughts on that, and would appreciate feedback from interested parties.
Also, as I may have mentioned before, I would love for Fiber Night to be a
source of learning, and a gathering for working on largesse and group
projects, as well as personal projects.
I love to teach, and I will happily help anyone if I can with hand-sewing
techniques, knitting, nålbinding, designing or fitting garb, whatever.
Please don't be shy about asking! If you want to learn a thing that I am
not in a position to teach directly, I will help you find teachers and
resources. Or maybe one of you can teach me things I want to know. We can
and should have ongoing classes and craftalongs, what with all the skill
and talent in our barony.
Which brings me to another thought: I haven't seen a Wyewood Facebook page
for A&S or for specifically fiber crafts. Is there such in existence? I
feel it might be a helpful thing. What say you all?
Ever in service,
HL Tabytha Morgan
Deputy A&S Officer of Wyewood*
*my goodness that sounds formal and impressive! 😆
