o   19+ years experience in school district accounting, budget and financial reporting.

            Report directly to school district Budget Director.  Duties include: preparation and maintenance of district school funding allocation model, supervision of staff of five (5) schools budget analysts, participation in annual school funding workgroup discussions, various analysis of schools funding issues as requested/required.

Port Townsend School District
          Director of Finance & Business Ops (Business Manager)   August 2012 thru April 2015
            Duties included supervision of accounts payable and cash receipts.  Directly responsible for all other General Ledger functions, cash management and reconciliations, grant claims, purchasing approvals and bid law. Prepared and presented monthly board financial report, analyzed monthly school, department, grant and categorical program reports.  Prepared enrollment and revenue forecasts and annual budget for General, Capital, Debt Service, ASB and Transportation Vehicle Funds.  Prepared and submitted state revenue estimate (F-203), budget report (F-195), and annual financial statement (F-196).  Liaison with State Auditor’s Office.  Maintained district account code and procedure manuals.  Risk management liaison.  Additional analysis, reporting, and training as needed.

            Duties included: supervise staff accountants, monthly board budget report, state revenue and budget reports (F-203, F-195), enrollment and revenue forecasts, salary and benefit estimates, fund balance projection, revise/update technical and procedure manuals, staff training as needed.
