Greetings from Rauthulfr
It's archery questions time!
Now that I can pull a bow and work on stance and such, I wonder if folks have any suggestions on the best way to work on basic mechanics while not at the range? (Let's just say that mornings are quite physically difficult, so Saturday practice is going to be quite iffy at best.)
I'm shooting a 30 lb longbow, with a much improved draw than I used to have, although I'm not quite up to consistent strength to pull it.
The biggest (non-mechanical) change I noticed last summer was that I'm now aiming instinctually. Is there any good reading or video about that?
I've seen a couple shot trainers. The Astra Shot Trainer hooks to the bowstring that looks like it would work for stance and such while not stressing the bow. And another that looks like a bar with several bands that will help a tiny bit with stance but a lot with strength.
Thanks!
R
