Greetings Your Excellencies and Lady Liadain,

Lady Emma Barrington writing to you on this day September 14th, 2017. I am expressing my interest in the position of Wyewood Chronicler. My intent regarding this office is
to have the populace members (in or out of Wyewood) feel connected to the Barony and the great people who call it home.

If chosen to fill this position, I am most excited for, is getting the information out! I have always believed in communication. There is so much happening in our Barony, developing
a quarterly newsletter can be a lot of fun - which is something I would look forward in doing. I think it is important to have both on-line and paper distribution of all types of information. (business mtg notes, newsletter and other info that may need
covering and given to the populace) I do have a working computer and phone with access to internet.

For me, getting information out builds excitement. Could be an event (past or present) or someone in the populace received an award, or The Barony received kiddos from TRM (because we
are awesome) but having a recap or a description of current/past happenings can help someone feel connected, even if they cannot be present in the Barony.

Weekly, at my mundane job, one of my responsibilities in producing a food special booklet for customers to read. I produce this booklet in publisher and use word documents for different
formats when needed. The booklet is filled with food specials of course, but also with photos, stories, weather, and other fun bits of information.

With the SCA, I held position of branch Chatelaine, Deputy to Kingdom Chatelaine and Kingdom Chatelaine. With holding a SCA office before, especially one that deals with newcomers,
giving them easy, accessible information was so important. Which could have been in whatever communication format was best for them (paper, on-line, or just talking live to a person about the SCA)
With other Chatelaine Responsibilities, I learned about submitting required reports and working with other officers to help and support each other’s office.

I have always been interested in the Chronicler’s Office. Recently reading more about the office and what the responsibilities are, I feel I can commit to the traditional two year term, commit to getting information out in a fun, factual and interesting way.
I am excited to learn about the Office.
I thank you all for your consideration. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate.

Yours In Service,

Lady Emma Barrington
