Seneschal Report – *Martyn (Brandon Scheltema – Chapter’s President)

Seeking deputy for Office, Mistress Aline volunteered.
With the 3 new officers, emails to be set up and officer change over.
Liadain turned in keys to seneschal. (church/mail box)

Thank you to everyone for their input regarding “what qualifies for a
baronial/kingdom event” due to clarification, we have volunteers coming
forward to arrange possible events.
(Sybil - Day in the Park, Tymme/Evrard – Novelty Shoot and Peregrina/Sara –
Day of Dance)

We have an Event Steward for Champions – Alarich – thank you!


* Exchequer Report – *Sara (Sara Bonneville)

Financial Report to be submitted by Tuesday.  Received financial statements.
Overall, we are in a good solid state.  $19,466.


Update on taller tent poles .. they are in progress and are sanded, just
waiting on a few measurements to complete.

**But Seeking a volunteer to lead for center poles project for Baronial
Tent.  The Center poles need to be worked on.


* ************ A & S Report – *Sofia (Linda Hosea)

Deep breathing and other activities seem to be continuing into April…

The second tier of Tablet Weaving occurred on the 1st (no joke!) with two
participants (there were three on March 31). Feelers went out for follow
ups, but no takers (yet).


Four showed up for Fiber/A&S Support night on the 4th.


The FCS on the 12th featured a class on history of chivalric
characteristics, and how they can translate into our SCA and mundane
lives…  Master Mir held the whole room (around 20!) for the presentation,
and then a good discussion.

Sewing Night had five on the 1st, and two on the 15th.


Dance Thursday 4/25.. 4 people showed and musician.  It was fun. Come and
join in.
Future schedule dance practices are listed below.


Sofia (and honorary Wyewoodian forever Symonne) went to the West Coast
Culinary Symposium at Camp Namanu in Oregon. Much good learning, and also
planning for the Perfectly Period Feast scheduled there in October.

Events/Activities to come:

FCS program for May:       A lot of things got shuffled due to snow. No
class at this time, just our fun social time.  Bring a project to work on
or if you have an idea, etc.

Fiber/A&S Support night:  Wednesday – May 1st

Dance Classes:           1st Thursday (5/2) Kirkland ** 2nd Sunday (5/12)
Library in Maple Valley.  ** 2nd Monday (5/13) – Madrone ** 3rd Thursday
(5/16) Wyewood/Des Moines. ** *Please note, watch emails/facebook for
updates - things may change due to library availability.*

Sewing Nights:           4/29, 5/13. 5/27

Culinary:                      Tried for a reboot – all still busy and/or
recovering! (Still the case…)

Alarich is available to help if anyone needs.  He has been assisting some
people.  There is 1 at society level and 1 badge at Kingdom level.

* Archery Report –* Tymme (Tim Geyer)
** Office seeking applicants for Chief Archer

Archery continues to happen, though we had to cancel a couple practices due
to rain.



A couple of us went to a Blatha an Oir practice, so we're getting out to
other branches.



The range is more in need of mowing now than it was when we mowed about 2-3
weeks ago, so time for another mowing party.



Wed practices will start the 1st Wed of May.  If no marshals step up, the
range will be closed for May Faire and Egil's (Wed and Sat).



We need to take the range down on May 29 for Egg Fest.  I'm thinking we can
reset the Sunday of June Faire, but that depends on who is available.



*Thrown weapons – *Geoffrey (Jeff Reeds)

Geoffrey was unable to attend, but thrown weapons has been happening, come
out and throw!

*Rapier Report – *Dearbhail (Debbie Kassens)

Practice has been happening at Kennydale on Sundays with regular 4-5 people
attending.
This Sunday 4/28, needs a marshal to run practice.

*Baronial Marshal –* Donatello (Mike Freeman)

Donatello not able to attend meeting tonight.  All marshal activities are
happening though (archery, rapier, thrown weapons, heavy)



* ************ Chatelaine Report – *Gabri (Heather Lazzaretti)

Gabri unable to attend meeting but Chatelaine box has been returned to
Aline who will give it to Gabri.
Chatelaine email box is up and running to her office now.

Have added baronial polling content to the website.

1st and apology about last months minutes not being posted.  As I mentioned
on a facebook post regarding information, I was not able to combine the
agenda with the meeting notes..they are complete now and posted on the
email list.

On that note, as I mentioned before, real work life is really impacting my
time, my term is up in November but would like to have it changed over
sooner so the office can run in compliance or just better than it has
been.  I do have someone who has peaked interested but I do know that there
are proper channels to take and open up to the populace, that for this
office, I am seeking applicants.  I am committed to cover my position until
end of term if a transfer can not happen and do the best I can.

1st quarter report will be submitted by the 30th.

On a fun note.. As you know, Jamesredbeard completed the first Newsletter
and hoping everyone has gotten a chance to see it – if not.. Available
on-line/Wyewood website.  He has been working on the May Issue and should
be available soon.

If you have a story to be told or anything you want to promote in the
newsletter – an event, recipe, or a “how-to-article” ..especially since
Tourney season is coming up – any helpful how-to’s can help newcomers or
someone learn a new skill.

Please note, if you do submit pictures or articles.. it is very helpful to
include the full SCA name and sign a release form, grant of use, permission
forms found on the An Tir website.  We want to make sure that the right
person is titled under a photo or an award and okay to use.

As it has been announced, our term is up. We thank those who have been
putting up interests in for Baron and Baroness.  We encourage those whom
may think of running to do so.

For Travel, Embers, May Crown.  At May Crown, would need the dayshade.

*Future Events and Other Business*
4/27 - Embers and Ambrosia this weekend .. lots of Wyewoodians attending
and heading activities. Tymme & Evrard Archery Marshalling.  Martyn is
holding a panel “growing up in the SCA” and Gwir is teaching a game and
presenting on medieval attitudes about spiders.

MayFaire 10th – 12th


Wyewood - Dancing on the 12th in Maple Valley.

June Faire – Dragon’s Laire
June 7th – 9th

Need a person to be head gate person and do schedule.
Alessandra volunteered to help generate a schedule.  Aline to forward last
years link.
Volunteers to run Mundane Gate – Saturday the 8th.


Wyewood Champions – Event Steward – Alarich
August 3rd,  2019 – Saturday

Alarich spoke to the populace, and will be looking for volunteers and any
skills that one might have to help the event.

July 10th – Tentative Novelty Shoot Event.  Martyn to ask Kingdom Seneschal
about calendar.
