[Officers] Appointment of Web Minister - an apology

I have no concern with how this particular appointment was made (we certainly did not have a thundering herd of applicants!), and it is good to have it handled, so the web site can move on... 

I have no opinion on the greater lesser issue. Is there room for "optional?" It would allow a Web Minister to choose their level of involvement with ongoing business... It has been a long time since we had an active Web Minister!

Officers, 



It has come to my attention that there has been some confusion about the appointment of a Web Minister. I take full responsibility for this and will correct what I see as the source of the miscommunication. 



Per the Kingdom Seneschal, the office of Web Minister for sub-branches is not a Greater Office and therefore would not go through the Officer Selection Process. However, Appendix B of the Wyewood Customary lists Web Minister along with the other office positions implying that it would go through the process. I should have been more public about what was going on; here is my recollection of the events 


April – Isadora announces at the business meeting that she is stepping down. 
May – I was not in attendance and Ameline covered the meeting for me; my notes to her prior to the meeting indicate the need for a Web Minister. 
June – I announced at the meeting that we needed a Web Minister, Geoffrey expressed an interest, and those in attendance thought it was a good idea. 
July – Geoffrey sent a message to Their Excellencies and myself about his interest and experience. We spoke, decided it was a good idea and announced his acceptance at the meeting. 





So, now what do we do? Your feedback is appreciated.
