Wyewood Officers meeting for February 14, 2011

Volunteering is GOOD



OLD BUSINESS:

·         Send Website info, in cut and paste ready, to Beleg

·         Largess to be given to the Crown at the Kingdom Arts and Sciences competition is being collected by Dame Esclarmonde. Please contact her for more details. There are a few things gathered or promised at this time, but Esclarmonde is confident there are talented people in Wyewood that can provide more items. 

New Business:

  a.. Comments/discussion about combined officer and business meeting will stop being gathered on March 11, and will be discussed in the March 25 business meeting 
  b.. The next officers meeting (March 14, 2011, will be at the Renton Highlands library, near the Highlands North Community Center (where we used to meet.) 2902 NE 12th, Renton, WA.


OPEN POSITIONS:

  a.. Chronicler position is open and accepting applications. Send applications to the Seneschal and the Exchequer. 
  b.. Heavy Armored Combat Marshal will step down as of April 1. Anyone interested in volunteering to serve Wyewood as Heavy Armored Combat Marshal must be at least a junior heavy combat marshal, and be willing to attend officer and business meetings, organize practice sessions, as well as submit quarterly reports. Qualifying interested people can send resumes to the Seneschal and the current Heavy Combat Marshal. 
  c.. The Chief Archer will step down in May, 2011. Qualifying applicants must be at least a junior Target Archery Marshal, and willing to coordinate practices, attend officer and business meetings, organize practices, as well as submit quarterly reports. Applicants can send resumes or requests to serve with past experience, to the Seneschal and the current Chief Archery Marshal, Dearbhail. 
  d.. Seneschal will step down by April, 2011. Constantine was interviewed and approved to be the new seneschal starting the end of March.


Future Events:

  a.. Culinary Symposium April, 2011. 
    a.. $40 site fee includes heated cabin 
    b.. $20 daytrip 
    c.. There are now links to the websites, including the Kingdom upcoming events, to register and sign up for classes. Please go to the website and review the classes available, as there may be some that interest you.
  b.. Wyewood has a date reservation on the Kingdom calendar for July 22-24. It is currently labeled ‘Along the Wye’. Symonne will be the autocrat. A presentation to the populace will be made at the business meeting, followed by a vote of the populace to see if the event should be held. It will include the KWWS ! 
    a.. Still looking for a coordinator/overseer of the KWWS, as Wenyeva will also be involved in the A&S championship. 
    b.. Wenyeva has volunteered to help with the KWWS, by hosting some of the games. There will be other volunteers needed for some of the other games..
