Greetings to the officers and populace of Wyewood!

~~Recent Activity:~~

I have continued working on encouraging Wyewoodians to teach and share
their knowledge.

I have appealed to volunteers to take over the culinary role, and have
received responses from several, but have not yet been able to discuss
it with them. (Partially due to real-world stuff going on.) I appreciate
everyone's patience and hope to meet with folks and talk about some
ideas soon!

In July we did not have very many scheduled activities, as we had the
Wyewood Revel approaching.

At the Wyewood Revel, I organized the second Wyewood Arts and Sciences
championship competition. Three people participated: Lord Tomas (wire
weaving), Lady Matillis (wool hood), and Lady Aine (medieval spice box).
Tomas and Matillis both competed for the championship. Lady Matillis
atte Hethe won the championship with an excellent entry: a woollen hood
and documentation. Dame Esclarmonde and Countess Elisabeth both assisted
with judging at the event.

I believe that Scriptorium activities took place in July as well, with
more planned on an ongoing basis. Thank you to Master Mir for hosting!

~~Future Activity~~

I do not have any classes scheduled for August. I hope to discuss some
potential class activities with some people this week.

Sundays: Scriptoriums (scribal get-togethers) that Master Mir is
hosting; check with Mir at mir.plemmons at gmail.com to find out the
address and which Sundays this month will have Scriptoriums.

My term is up shortly (as I stepped in to fill Countess Elisabeth's term
last year), and I may not apply to continue in the office, as real world
situations are starting to interfere. However, I haven't decided this
yet. I expect to make this decision soon. I encourage anyone who is
interested in the office to apply!

I want to remind everyone that you don't need to be an expert or a
trained instructor to host or teach activities. You just need to be
willing to make it happen! So if you are wanting to do a specific
activity, consider offering to *host* it. And if you have a location for
the activity, that is a good thing to offer, too. We don't have to have
all of our activities at the FCS.

I think that's it for now! Questions, comments -- just let me know. Thanks!
